Blogs, podcasts and other forms of social media are reshaping the way we communicate with potential customers for marketing, public relations, communications and branding. Wouldn’t YOU like to know the best ways to use these new tools in your job?!

If so, join us and the Florida Public Relations Association to hear from expert Josh Hallett (Hyku, LLC), an expert in the utilization of web- and Internet-based technologies for business communications, including weblogs (blogs). For more than ten years, he has been working with emerging Internet communication technologies and is recognized as an early adopter who works closely with public relations practitioners and corporate communicators to integrate these tools into an organization's public and media relations strategies.

Josh is a highly sought-after public speaker on web technology issues and has presented at numerous workshops, seminars and conferences in a wide variety of market segments.

Mark your calendars for a joint meeting with Josh Hallett and the Gainesville Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, Thursday, November 16th! This is sure to provide numerous good ideas and networking opportunities!

And a big thanks to those who walked or contributed/donated. AdFed raised $2100!

The total raised in support of Breast Cancer (with all of the other organizations and individuals who participated that day) was $134,000!

Let's do it again in 2007!

  : : Get Out and Vote: :

This is such an important time for us... a time when we, as citizens can affect our future, simply by getting out to the polls on November 7th!

The race is on for US and State Senate and House seats, Governor, Attorney General, Chief Financial Office, Judges, our own local County Commissioners and the 6 amendments on the ballot.

We, as the AdFed, cannot endorse any particular candidate or tell you who to vote for, etc. However, we can remind you that we do have a right to vote in this country and that right should not be taken for granted. That EVERY vote counts and YOUR vote matters!

You have the power to affect change locally and nationally. All you have to do is go to the polls on November 7th between 7 am and 7 pm!
